Yes, our rental agreement provides comprehensive accident cover for most day-to-day driving.
For drivers over the age of 25 there is $1,500 excess. If you are deemed not at fault and the insurer waves the excess at claim, then we may waive your excess as a result.
As part of the weekly rental fee, the costs of all scheduled servicing and warranty maintenance costs are covered. It is your obligation under the agreement to ensure that the vehicle is serviced on time at an authorized service representative. Your agreement includes scheduled servicing up to the specified KM allowance on your agreement. Your agreement also covers 24/7 roadside assistance for breakdowns.
TradieSpec agreements extend the manufacturer warranty to cover the cost of defects unless due to vehicle neglect. However, it is your responsibility to cover all repairs not under warranty.
Depending on the availability of vehicles and spec’s to add will determine the waiting period. Generally the vehicle will be delivered within 3 weeks.
Our standard contract allows for 32,000Km KM’s per year with no extra charge. Any additional Km’s travelled will be charged at $0.22 per KM up to 40,000 Km’s and $0.33 for Km’s above 40,000 KM’s.
Yes, you will need to cover the cost of your own fuel for travel. You will also need to attach your own e-tag to the windscreen. If you don’t have an e-tag we will issue the tolls charges invoice to you on a monthly basis taken via direct debit.
Yes! If you would like to extend your contract you can. Minimum contract periods apply.
No, you don’t need a good credit history, every application is considered
To book a service, contact your local dealership relevant to your vehicle – e.g. customers driving a Ford Ranger would contact their local Ford dealership, and customers driving a Toyota Hilux would contact their local Toyota dealership. Upon contacting the servicing department, the customer will inform the dealership of their rego number, and that it is a Toyota Fleet Managed vehicle, and all standard costs will be covered.
Every person with a valid driver’s license is covered by insurance to drive our vehicles.
While we do not charge for additional drivers, drivers under the age of 25 years old do incur a higher excess charge in the case of an at-fault car accident. This excess is still generally significantly lower than that of competitors. While customers should bear this in mind, this doesn't disallow younger drivers from driving so long as they have a valid driver’s license.
The frequency of servicing intervals depends on the type of vehicle you have. Toyota vehicles including our hilux’s and hiaces are serviced every 10,000KMs, Ford vehicles including rangers are serviced every 15,000KMs, and Izuzu vehicles including DMax’s are serviced every 15,000KMs.
All servicing costs are included in the weekly rental payment.
if you have an accident in one of vehicles, or any damage has occurred, you must contact us as soon as possible. If you are deemed not at fault in an accident, you will not be required to pay an excess. If you have an at fault accident, a $1,500 insurance excess applies. Any other miscellaneous damage costs will depend on the severity and will be discussed with you.
TradieSpec does not allow customers to organise repairs for our vehicles. We pride ourselves on the reliability of our vehicles, and therefore, it is important that TradieSpec organises repairs at our authorised repairers to ensure repairs are satisfactory.

Payments and Accounts

If you realise your payment has been missed, you should contact our accounts team as soon as possible. If you miss your payment but contact us and make payment the day your invoice is due, this will help in avoiding any late payment fees.
If you have a problem with your card, such as it being stolen, cancelled, or expired, you should let us know right away. In the meantime, you can provide us with an alternative card to use or pay via EFT bank transfer. You should then contact us as soon as you have your new card so that we can update it in our system.
The weekly rental payments are direct debited each week form your nominated credit/debit card that we have on file.
Our pay cycle keeps our customers 14 days ahead. This means, if you pay 4 weeks upfront, we take your first weekly payment after 3 weeks for the following week, which takes you out to 14 days ahead of the current week. This gives customers some leeway in the instance of missing a payment.
Yes, our upfront payments include a refundable bond payment, which is refunded back to you at the end of the hire term, and 4 weeks payment upfront which means the first weeks of hire are already covered.
Any days paid in advance are refunded to you after returning the vehicle, so long as there are no outstanding invoices on your account.

Vehicle specifications, variations and inclusions

Extra features such as extra toolboxes, tow bars, bull bars or reverse cameras can be added once authorised by us. While we can have additional specs, such as tow bars, fitted, it is generally a quicker turn-around to have the specs fitted once the vehicle is in your possession to avoid extended wait times for your vehicle.
All our vehicles are white in colour. This prevents delays in the ordering process of our vehicles so that our customers can be in our vehicles in a more timely manner. White is also a standard colour for most trade vehicles.
Modifications to the vehicle are permitted so long as they are legal, approval from TradieSpec is given prior to the modifications being made, and the vehicle is returned in its original state.
No. Toolbox’s can be removed as necessary, so long as the vehicle is returned with in the same state as at delivery.
All our vehicles are automatic transmission.

Product FAQs

Yes. Anyone can use our FlexiRent service. However, you must have a registered ABN or ACN to be eligible for our Rent-To-Own service.
When signing the rental agreement, the customer is agreeing to fulfill the weekly payments for a 12 or 24-month minimum. Therefore, the customer is required to make the weekly repayments for 12 or 24-months, even if they wish to return vehicle before that point. After the 12 or 24 months is up, the customer will then have the option to exit the contract or continue for the remainder of the rent-to-own rental period.
